No shade, but I have an MFA in screenwriting from Columbia and I learned more about pilot writing from Julia in just a few HOURS than I did in my TV writing class at school (that cost me bazillions of dollars in student loans). She is legit brilliant at this, so nurturing to all of us no matter the genre or style of pilot, and is helping me write my pilot during a tricky post partum time of no sleep. Taking Julia Meltzer's comedy pilot writing class was an incredible experience for me as a first-time screenwriter and full-time doctor. This opportunity jump-started my other media opportunities, including becoming a media consultant for USC Health, Hollywood, and Society, where I have opportunities to consult for medical shows like Grey's Anatomy, Chicago Med and more. Julia is such a confident and supportive teacher.
